The Booksellers Association of the United Kingdom and Ireland Edelweiss Community

All Bookseller’s Association members are invited to join the BA Community within our new Edelweiss Community site!

Edelweiss Community is a mobile-friendly social networking platform for book professionals. There, users can join unique Communities, or groups of readers with similar interests. Members of a Community can collaborate on lists of titles, communicate with one another, and share their reviews and collections.

It is easy to open Edelweiss Community from any page in Edelweiss by clicking on the Edelweiss Community icon on the upper left corner of your screen.

Your Community homepage gives you a snapshot of all the activity taking place across your different communities. To join the Bookseller’s Association Community (or any other community that you’d like!), navigate to the Communities lane on the left-hand side:

You might already have an invitation to join the BA Community. In this case, you would want to select the Invited tab. Find The Booksellers Association of the United Kingdom and Ireland Community and select the icon with an arrow in the top right corner to join the community.

Collaborative Title Lists

Collaborative lists allow Community members to nominate titles in certain topic areas and provide feedback on others’ suggestions, upvoting their favorites and downvoting others. To view a collaborative, just select the list title!

At the top of the list, you’ll see a description of its topic as well as a summary of list activity and the jacket covers of each nominated book. Underneath, you’ll see the books ranked from highest to lowest, depending on the number of Community member votes.

Give your opinion! Click the up arrow to upvote or the down arrow to downvote.

Do you think a title is missing from these lists? Click Add Titles(s) then search for the title or add the ISBN.

Community Conversations

You can have conversations with other users in the BA Community. You can find the Community’s conversations on the upper left-hand side of the Community Hub:

Simply click on a conversation to view it. If you’d like to add a thought to an existing conversation, click New Thought and, if you’d like to reply to someone else, click reply.

If you’d like, clicStart New to begin a new conversation:
