Excerpts are a great marketing tool to take advantage of and can be added to title listings by users with Catalog Administration privileges. Excerpts are a handy option when you may not be planning to offer a review copy of a title but still want interested readers to be able to take a look inside—or if you simply want to showcase a passage in an extra accessible way. The gif below shows an example of a title to which an excerpt has been added.

To add an excerpt, click the tools icon in the right-hand corner of a title listing. In the resulting window, select Marketing Content from the left-hand side, and click Excerpts. Enter the desired text and Save!

Once you’ve refreshed the page, the Excerpt button will appear.
